Shake the lens free of drops, place it on your index fingertip then, examine the profile of the lens edge.

The lens profile should be a smooth curved line, shaped like the arc of a circle. It should not curve out like a soup plate.
If the lens is inserted wrong side out, it is usually uncomfortable, may slide around and the vision is faulty and fluctuating

logo_small[2].gif How to place them?

To insert a lens is easy but it is advisable to learn that:

1. Look at yourself in a mirror
2. Use your dominant hand.
3. Place the lens on your index finger, place your next finger on the lash margin of your lower lid. Place the long finger of your other hand on the lash margin of your upper lid. Separate your lids wide enough so all of the iris (coloured part of the eye) is visible.
4. Look at your index finger, it will be blurred. Continue to move the lens toward your eye until it touches the eye.
5. Look down, first release your lower lid and then your upper lid.
6. The lens should now be centered on your eye.
7. When you look straight ahead your vision should be clear and your eye comfortable.
8. If the lens is not comfortable, remove the lens, rinse it off and re-insert it
